the Apostle Church, Clifton. All are invited to attend.
FROM THE DESK OF
FATHER JOE
One of the most meaningful aspects
of our Catholic Faith is expressed in our prayers for each member of our parish. When we celebrate the liturgy we remember
our brothers and sisters here at St. James in various ways. I know our sick are very thankful for your prayers.
I know that those who have experienced the loss of a loved one in death are thankful for your prayers. Everyone needs
to have a strong faith and everyone needs to be able to forgive and grow in the love of Jesus.
Life is not easy especially for those who have lost their jobs. Our world and our country are looking forward to better
days ahead. This is where faith and forgiveness come on the scene. Our Catholic faith is grounded in the mystery
of the Cross, God's revelation of divine love in Jesus - total self giving. Faith takes us directly into the realm of
suffering and death. Our belief that holds that through the Pascal Mystery the world is redeemed.
For those who are weak in faith, remember Jesus came to scatter the darkness of doubt and despair.
You are not alone as faith will take you by the hand to the Lord of life and light. Don't waste your precious time with
grudges. But with God's help we can forgive and be reconciled with each other.
On Palm Sunday we will walk in procession as Jesus did as we prepare for the most sacred events of Holy Week. Please
join us at St. James Parish during this Holy Week. I hope you will participate in the incredible richness of our liturgy.
Please pray for our new converts to the Catholic faith. They will be received into the Catholic Church at the Easter
Vigil. Let us pray for every member of our parish that their faith will come alive in Jesus. Jesus had a beautiful
life style - it was simple, humble and always obedient to His Heavenly Father. Crucified Jesus we ask you to give us a strong
and vibrant faith.
